Community First Responders in Newburgh: Community First Responders are groups of volunteers who live and work in the local community. They are trained and activated by the North West Ambulance Service to attend certain emergency calls, where time can make a difference between life and death. A responder gives care until an ambulance arrives, usually only a few minutes later. Responders are provided with suitable equipment and training, so no prior medical knowledge is needed.
If you are interested in being part of this Group and would like more information, please visit www.nwas.nhs.uk/getinvolved
or contact: Alan Rudge 01257 462167 or email westlancscfr@gmail.com
In an emergency always dial 999 – do NOT attempt to contact any responders directly. Should a responder be needed & available, the ambulance service will contact the responder
